Job Overview

The closing date is 05 January 2026. We are looking for a dynamic, organised, and enthusiastic GP to join our well‑resourced Primary Health Care Team at the Medical Centre, RAF Northolt, Ruislip, Middlesex, HA4 6NG. The role is a Fixed‑term Appointment (37 hrs per week) under the Ministry of Defence GP scheme, commencing upon appointment and ending on 31 October 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular primary health care, including acute and scheduled primary care to a diverse mix of military and civilian patients, with 15‑minute appointments covering all aspects of the GP curriculum (paediatrics, ante‑natal care, mental health, chronic disease management).
  • Attend primary care sessions, occupational medicals and protect time for administrative tasks, meetings, and professional development.
  • Deliver occupational health care in line with GMC standards and undertake mandatory medical examinations while providing appropriate occupational healthcare advice.
  • Provide primary care emergency treatment within the Establishment and supervise management of communicable diseases, including monitoring and reporting through Service chains.
  • Attend regular multi‑disciplinary meetings to ensure continuous quality improvement and participate in unit health committees where appropriate.
  • Represent the Senior Medical Officer on medical practice related issues and provide input to governance activities.
  • Work across both sites of the Middlesex Group Practice (RAF Northolt and Northwood) with a flexible approach to part‑time or job‑share arrangements as required.
