A local police force is seeking community-minded individuals to volunteer as Safer Neighbourhood Volunteers in Charlton. As a volunteer, you will engage with the community, share vital updates, and support local initiatives to enhance safety. This role requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a passion for making a positive impact in your area. Join us to make a difference while gaining valuable first-hand experience in policing.
Join your local policing team and help build strong, positive relationships with the people around you. By volunteering, you will play a vital role in providing reassurance, reducing fear of crime and keeping everyone informed about what is happening locally. Our Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) in Spelthorne is looking to recruit volunteers who want to make a difference by helping keep their local communities informed of policing activity and connected through regular engagement. If you can spare four hours a week (or more) between the hours of 0700 and 1700 Monday to Saturday, we would like to welcome you to the team!

As a Safer Neighbourhood Volunteer, community engagement will be at the heart of your role. You will need strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people through a variety of channels, including social media. Working closely with the team, you will bring excellent organisational skills to plan and coordinate key tasks and events within local communities. You should also feel confident using ICT as the role involves working with Microsoft Office programmes, incident reporting systems and community messaging platforms.
