We're currently working with a highly rated local authority in the South East of England, on a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join the Child and Family Assessment team as a Senior Social Worker.

Leaders in Care are offering £42/h for this role, one of the highest in the area currently.

Responsibilities
  • Be part of the Child and Family Assessment team, handling child in need cases, ongoing care proceedings, assessments, and making informed decisions about appropriate interventions to support the child and family.
  • Work with a manageably distributed caseload, in a setting with a stable, longstanding management structure that supports a stress-free working environment.
  • Operate with a diary you can manage as you see fit, with minimal micro-management and support provided when needed.
Qualifications
  • Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England is required.
  • Three years of permanent experience in an English council to be considered, in line with current government guidance.
Requirements & Preferences
  • Experience in child protection and court work is desirable.
  • This is a statutory role; relevant regulatory and safeguarding frameworks apply.
Remuneration & Start

Immediate starts are available. The council will wait up to one month for the right person. We provide ongoing support throughout the full process and placement.
