Main duties of the job

As our SABR Analytics Lead Radiographer, youll drive how we collect, analyse and report outcome data for our advanced MR-guided adaptive SABR services. Working across London, Guildford and Oxford, youll design and refine data capture processes, ensure reporting is robust and meaningful, and use evidence to improve quality and innovation.

Youll unite clinical, technical and research perspectives collaborating with radiographers, oncologists, physicists and senior leaders to audit practice, evaluate new indications and support publications that showcase outcomes. Youll also turn complex data into clear, compelling insights that inform commissioning, insurer engagement and patient understanding.

Alongside this analytical and research-driven focus, youll keep 20% of your time in direct patient care. This ensures the service remains safe, compliant and responsive while keeping you connected to clinical realities.

Role Summary

As a SABR Analytics Lead Radiographer, you will join a pioneering team leading the UKs busiest and most advanced stereotactic radiotherapy (SABR) service, with growing MR-guided treatment pathways across liver, pancreas, rectal, spinal and re-irradiation indications. You will play a pivotal role in transforming how clinical outcomes, workflow metrics, and patient-reported data are captured, analysed, and reported, driving excellence in adaptive radiotherapy.

Your remit will span the development and implementation of cutting-edge research protocols, integration of PROMs and CROMs into routine workflows, data analytics, clinical audit, and insight dissemination. These efforts will directly inform practice improvements, enable evidence-based service development, and support credentialling, regulatory compliance, and referral growth.

Collaboration will be central to your success, as you engage with multidisciplinary teams, academic partners, and regulatory bodies to foster a vibrant, research-focused environment. Youll champion knowledge translation, mentor colleagues, and disseminate your work through high-quality publications and presentations, influencing practice locally and globally. Key areas for the role:

Lead the transformation of data capture and reporting for MR-guided adaptive SABR pathways, ensuring quality governance, dose-tracking, and outcome transparency in line with IR(ME)R, GIRFT, and NRAG expectations.

Coordinate the capture of clinician-reported outcomes (CROMs), imaging endpoints, and CTCAE-graded toxicities to demonstrate treatment impact across novel indications.

Integrate electronic PROM/CROM systems into clinical and remote follow-up workflows, ensuring data completeness and clinical usability.

Work closely with the Clinical Reference Group (CRG), Radiotherapy, Physics and marketing teams to translate clinical data into outcome infographics, patient stories, and publications that support credentialling and strategic engagement.

Co-lead monthly adaptive SABR service audit meetings with action plan follow-through to ensure service alignment with evolving clinical, research, and commissioning standards.

Support engagement with insurers and external stakeholders by providing evidence of real-world outcomes in newer indications and pathways.

Maintain 20% clinical time (direct patient treatment time) to remain embedded in-service delivery and ensure insights are grounded in operational realities.

Reporting lines:

As the SABR Analytics Lead Radiographer, you report directly to Principal Physicist for MR-Linac Service Development.

Reporting lines and direct reports may change from time to time in line with the requirements of the role.

Your key responsibilities:

Data Collection and Reporting:

Champion the systematic collection and reporting of adaptive workflow metrics, PROMs, CROMs, imaging endpoints, and CTCAE-based toxicity data.

Ensure robust data systems are in place to comply with national service specifications and regulatory frameworks (IR(ME)R 2017, CQC).

Synthesise data into actionable insights and contribute to publications, white papers, clinical audits, and service evaluations.

Ensure timely and comprehensive reporting of research outcomes, facilitating integration of these findings into clinical guidelines, patient pathways, and best practice protocols.

Service Quality and Audit:

Lead initiatives to standardise dose-tracking, adaptive radiotherapy process audits, and error-reduction strategies across MR-Linac and SABR sites.

Coordinate cross-site learning through regular audit meetings and shared action planning to enhance clinical consistency and innovation adoption.

Implement research protocols and proposals, ensuring rigorous adherence to ethical and governance standards (e.g., HRA, MHRA, GCP).

Evaluate resource implications of proposed research initiatives, including workload, finances, equipment, documentation, and staffing.

Integrate research findings into clinical practice to drive continuous improvement in patient care.

Support clinical studies and collaborative trials, maintaining detailed knowledge of research ethics, governance frameworks, and clinical trial processes.

Knowledge Translation and Dissemination:

Promote a strong radiographer led research culture within the organisation, mentoring and supervising research activities.

Collaborate with the CRG and marketing to co-develop outcome-focused narratives and visual materials for stakeholder engagement and service promotion.

Support the development of publishable evidence to reinforce GenesisCares national and international reputation for advanced radiotherapy.

Publish and present research outcomes to position the service as a leader in innovative radiotherapy research.

Clinical and Stakeholder Integration:

Embed research, audit and feedback processes into everyday clinical practice through strong working relationships with radiographers, clinicians, analysts, and service managers.

Advocate for and implement patient-centred research approaches, with meaningful patient and public involvement (PPI) in study design and outcome prioritisation.

Experience and skills:

Significant post registration experience in radiotherapy, (Experience in adaptive/MR-guided and stereotactic treatment workflows desirable)

Strong understanding of radiotherapy data, including outcomes collection (PROMs/CROMs), adaptive planning metrics, and imaging endpoints.

Proven ability to lead on complex data capture, analysis and audit initiatives, with advanced Excel and basic statistical competency.

Experience working within regulatory frameworks (IR(ME)R, GCP, HRA, MHRA) and engaging with multidisciplinary and commercial stakeholders.

Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to generate and communicate meaningful insights to clinicians, leadership and external audiences.

Fixed 1 day a week onsite clinical working at our Oxford, Cromwell and Surrey sites
