Job summary

A leading consultancy is seeking a Technical Author in Christchurch to work on significant engineering, defense, and government projects. The role requires experience in Data Module authoring to the S1000D 4.1 standard and proficiency in using tools like EAGLE LSAR. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining technical publications, performing task analyses, and collaborating with teams. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in XML and technical publication processes, ensuring a comprehensive Common Source Database is developed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Data Module authoring to an S1000D 4.1 standard.
• Experience in technical authoring processes and techniques.
• Knowledge of Technical Publications/IETP/CSDB Configuration Management.

Responsibilities

• Request and assess source logistic information.
• Undertake Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
• Author Data modules from MTA and other publications.
• Liaise with Training Team for training content.
• Assist in DMRL maintenance.
• Proofread Data Modules produced by team members.
• Produce new IETPs using trilogisoftware.
