This is an opportunity within 42 Commando Royal Marines, offering varied and rewarding responsibilities. The role involves operation and day-to-day running of the Motor Fuel Installation, with mentoring, training and fully funded courses available (some residential). The department comprises Royal Marine Commandos, sailors and soldiers from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, plus civilian staff across 9 units in the UK. Apprenticeships normally last between 12 months and 3 years, depending on the level. Apprenticeships are open to anyone; successful candidates can discuss development options with their manager when in post. Salary and benefits include a salary of £23,583 with the MOD contributing £6,831 to the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. The role does not offer relocation expenses, and external recruits to the MOD new to the Civil Service are subject to a six-month probation period.
