Gap Personnel are currently recruiting for a Route Planner for our well established client based in West Bromwich B70.

We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Planner to oversee and coordinate logistics operations. You will play a key role in managing delivery schedules, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining clear and effective communication with customers.

As Route Planner, you will be responsible for planning and optimising delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. You will work closely with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to maintain smooth logistics operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £25,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule delivery routes for vehicles.
  • Optimise routes for efficiency, cost, and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor vehicle movements and adjust plans as needed.
  • Communicate with drivers and customers to resolve any route-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of routes and deliveries.
  • Support customers with missing items , delivery queries and collections.
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policies.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in transport planning or logistics (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in route planning software and MS Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
