Overview

Zenon is delighted to be supporting an established cargo operator in the UK in their search for a Rostering Planning Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the forward planning and building of Pilot and third-party rosters to effectively support the Company flying program and support commercial and operational demands.

You will collaborate with colleagues in the Training department to ensure rosters incorporate training needs, as well as working closely with colleagues in Operations and be responsible for ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance by maintaining and applying excellent knowledge in this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and building rosters for pilots and third parties and maintaining rosters on the Leon system
  • Ensuring that crew resources are managed in the most efficient and cost-effective way, in compliance with documented statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring all flight set ups to ensure compliance with all flight time limitations as set out in Company Manuals (OMA chapter 7)
  • Investigating occurrences of regulatory extension or breach, collaborating with Safety & Compliance as required
  • Managing fatigue reports and assisting team members as required to improve roster quality and lifestyle enhancement through continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with our Training department to ensure training needs and requirements are met, including planning of operational training flights
  • Monitoring and managing pilot time off and leave in an efficient way and in accordance with Company procedure and leave bidding system
  • Supporting on-time performance, operational delivery and efficiency following the values and culture of One Air
  • Monitoring crew qualification expiration and ensure planning of required interventions
  • Monitoring crew travel, hotel and transportation bookings and related invoices by working closely with Business Travel Coordinators to ensure accuracy and efficiency with the roster
  • Collaborating closely on a day-to-day basis with Business Travel Coordinators, Pre-Ops Crewing Officers and wider operations team to ensure seamless coordination and cover of the roles when necessary
  • Ensuring excellent communications with all external and internal stakeholders connected to our operations to ensure effective operational delivery
  • Ensuring they maintain a knowledge of company operations, documentation, regulating authority requirements, relevant systems and procedures
  • Supporting and deliver a safety culture and raise safety issues where and when required
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience working in a relevant role or department, with a knowledge of aviation management systems
  • Must have proven ability to plan and organise in a fast moving ever changing operational environment, with a keen eye for detail and acuity for problem solving
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of applicable regulations with respect to Flight Time Limitations and Fatigue Risk Management would be preferable
  • Knowledge of the LEON flight software system preferable
