In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting. You will play a vital part in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of each child. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in managing daily activities and engaging with both children and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age‑appropriate educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children.
  • Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children’s achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in young children.
  • Manage classroom behaviour by implementing positive reinforcement strategies.
Qualifications
  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare settings is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
