Are you passionate about providing spiritual and pastoral care in a diverse environment? We are seeking a Roman Catholic Chaplain to join our multi-faith team at HMP Dovegate. This role is integral in supporting the religious and spiritual needs of residents and staff, ensuring access to worship, pastoral care, and faith-based activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide religious and pastoral care to prisoners and staff, including sacramental provision where appropriate.

Lead worship, prayer, and meditation sessions.

Support residents in their spiritual journey and contribute to their rehabilitation.

Offer guidance and mentorship to chaplaincy volunteers.

Assist in delivering faith and non-faith-based courses.

Work collaboratively within the multi-faith team to foster a supportive community.

Engage with external faith communities to aid in the resettlement of offenders.

What We’re Looking For:

Ordained Priest, Permanent Deacon, or Suitably Qualified Lay Person within the Roman Catholic Church.

Experience in pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and religious service delivery.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a multi-faith environment and collaborate effectively.

Good IT literacy and administrative skills.

Previous custodial or prison chaplaincy experience (desirable).
