Overview

Rolling Stock Technician - Interiors On-board Team

Location: London (Dartford area)

Pay: £19.50 per hour (PAYE) / £25.35 per hour (Umbrella)

Shifts: 4 on 4 off — 2 early (06:00–18:00), 2 late (12:00–00:00)

Responsibilities
  • Specialise in service train interior repairs to ensure passenger comfort and safety across the network, focusing on bathrooms, sinks, toilets, flush mechanisms, hand dryers, panels, and doors.
  • Diagnose faults quickly using problem-solving skills and implement fixes to keep trains on schedule.
  • Conduct quality checks and assessments to uphold safety, hygiene, and comfort standards.
  • Organise and manage tools, parts, and stock efficiently to support the team.
  • Maintain clear records of work performed to demonstrate impact and professionalism.
  • Balance independent field work with collaborative teamwork on mobile assignments.

  • Ability to work independently in a mobile environment, with a collaborative mindset to support the team.
  • Confidence to attend jobs alone and to carry out assessments and work in service.
