Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roaming QC Inspector to support quality assurance across our local CMT units in Leicester. This role is hands-on, focusing on inline and end-of-line quality checks, while providing technical support and operational advice to ensure a smooth and consistent production process. You’ll act as a critical link between the production floor and Head Office, identifying issues early and working collaboratively with factory teams to maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inline and final AQL inspections using our internal quality system.
  • Work closely with local manufacturing units, offering technical guidance and operational support to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Identify and resolve any technical or production issues in collaboration with factory floor managers or relevant team members.
  • Attend internal meetings at Head Office to present QC findings, feedback, and recommendations.
  • Support the continuous improvement of production quality through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Utilize modern technologies, systems, and applications confidently across various devices for inspection and reporting tasks.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in Quality Control, preferably within the Leicester manufacturing sector.
  • Strong technical eye and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Hands-on, practical approach with the ability to proactively identify and solve problems.
  • Excellent focus and concentration skills, even with repetitive tasks.
  • Able to manage your workload independently while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with solid numeracy and literacy abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport, due to the roaming nature of the role.
