Road Freight Coordinator – Felixstowe

Location: Felixstowe
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary: £35,000 + Yearly Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We’re working with a well‑established logistics and freight forwarding business seeking an experienced Road Freight Coordinator to join their growing team in Felixstowe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of road freight processes who enjoys working in a supportive, forward‑thinking logistics business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and coordinating road freight shipments, ensuring cost‑effective, compliant, and timely delivery.
  • Managing daily operations, including transport bookings, liaising with hauliers, and tracking shipment progress.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, providing updates, resolving issues, and delivering excellent service.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, customs requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Preparing and handling documentation, including transport orders, customs paperwork, and invoicing.
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a road freight forwarding role
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs systems (e.g., CDS/CHIEF)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
