Job Summary: As a nurse you would provide care and assist clients in the Community, LTC, and/or Retirement Home setting. The successful candidate will collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care. The nurse will provide excellent care with respect and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited Registered Practical Nurse program/Nursing Degree or equivalent
  • Experience with Ventilators and Tracheostomy an asset – training is available for the right candidate
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Minimum of 1-year experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of current nursing assessment and management of Tracheostomy & Ventilation Care.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with the support of your team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Monitor, assess, address, document & report changes in patient’s condition.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, teamwork, and conflict-resolution)
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Valid First Aid and CPR – Level HCP certification
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
