Job Description

  • Provide expert advice on complex risk, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Support and promote a positive compliance culture within the firm.
  • Manage risk and compliance projects and collaborate on new business initiatives.
  • Analyse data to improve processes and update key documents.
  • Develop policies, communications, and training programs.
  • Monitor legal changes and escalate high-risk issues as needed.
  • Mentor junior team members and handle ad-hoc tasks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Risk & Best Practice Manager should have:

  • Extensive experience of working in risk and compliance in a law firm
  • Advanced knowledge of core compliance areas including SRA Standards, data protection, and anti-money laundering for an international law firm.
  • Strong decision-making skills based on experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, proactively supporting colleagues.
  • Consistently meets deadlines for own projects and workstreams.
