You'll work with senior leaders across Finance, HR, Operations and our Managing Directors, giving this role real influence and visibility.

About the Role
  • Lead the development and delivery of the organisation's Risk Management and Assurance Framework.
  • Maintain and report on the corporate risk register, providing high-quality analysis for Executives and the Board.
  • Play a key role in shaping the organisation's risk appetite, maturing our risk reporting framework, and delivering high-quality reports to Executives and the Board.
  • Support the organisation's assurance framework, including internal audit activity and compliance monitoring.
  • Own and manage the organisation's Fraud Action Plan and Fraud Risk Register.
  • Coordinate risk reviews, support risk owners and encourage strong risk culture across all divisions.
  • Produce clear, insightful risk and assurance reporting for senior decision-makers.
  • Support quality and compliance processes, including accreditation against relevant BSI/ISO standards.
  • Support business continuity planning and wider governance improvements.

This role is central to strengthening organisational resilience and ensuring that risks are well understood, managed and communicated.

About You
  • Experience in risk management, audit, assurance or compliance, ideally in a corporate or regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience managing risk registers or assurance frameworks.
  • Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and presenting clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, practical insights.
  • Experience with tools such as Excel, SharePoint, PowerBI, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ISO/BSI standards, quality management or assurance mapping is desirable but not essential.
Why Join Us?
  • A role with genuine organisational impact and senior-level visibility.
  • Opportunities to shape risk, assurance and governance frameworks across a growing organisation.
  • Supportive leadership, hybrid working and a collaborative working culture.
  • A chance to support services that make a positive difference to communities across Cornwall.
