Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Braintree District Council in recruiting a Revenues and Recovery Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and ambitious Revenues and Recovery Manager.
This role is ideal for an experienced Revenues & Recovery Manager who can lead our Revenues & Cashiers team in administering the billing, collection and enforcement of Council Tax, Business Rates, and Other Service Income, and who can demonstrate a strong background in local taxation. Duties will include ensuring an efficient, compliant, and customer-focused Revenues Service, and you will be expected to work as part of the senior Revenues and Benefits management team.
As our Revenues and Recovery Manager, you will manage and motivate your team to deliver a professional service, always with an eye on performance improvement and customer service. Maximising revenue collection and minimising loss and avoidance will be key objectives. As a competent and inspiring manager, you will provide clear direction and support alongside your Senior Revenue Officers to your team and will need to manage and prioritise workloads and service demands.
You must be able to communicate at all levels, interpreting and articulating often difficult and complex information and decisions. In this role you will also have opportunity to help inform the future of the Revenues service as the authority prepares for local government reorganisation for Greater Essex.
