A global engineering firm is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue & Billing Assistant in Cheltenham. This role supports the Senior Revenue Controller by ensuring accurate billing and timely revenue processing across various contracts. Candidates should have experience in finance or administration, strong Excel skills, and a proactive attitude. Join a close-knit team dedicated to making a positive impact while enhancing your career opportunities.
What if you could do the kind of work the world needs? At WSP, you can access our global scale, contribute to landmark projects and connect with the brightest minds in your field to do the best work of your life. You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.
As Revenue & Billing Assistant you will support the Senior Revenue Controller and the wider Business Rates team to deliver accurate, timely and well‑controlled billing across all revenue streams.
This role will give you broad exposure across the full revenue cycle – from calculating fees and updating trackers, through to obtaining authorisations/POs, preparing invoices and liaising with fee earners and third‑party agents. The role is deliberately flexible: over time you will be trained to support different contracts and processes rather than being tied to a single narrow stream.
You will not have direct line management responsibilities, but you will play an important part in team‑based working, cross‑cover and maintaining consistent standards across the revenue function.
You’ll play a key part in supporting our billing and revenue processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across client invoicing and related financial activities. This includes preparing and updating billing information, assisting with fee calculations, and helping the team meet monthly targets.
You’ll also manage purchase orders and third‑party costs, liaising with suppliers and agents to resolve queries and keep records up to date. Maintaining data quality in our systems is essential, as you’ll ensure client and billing details are accurate and aligned with agreed arrangements.
In addition, you’ll follow established processes and controls, provide cross‑team support during busy periods, and contribute to improving workflows. This role is ideal for someone detail‑oriented, organised, and keen to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
