Job summary

A Human Rights NGO is seeking a retired Immigration Solicitor to provide supervision and guidance to the Legal Support department. You will assist clients with their asylum and immigration cases and meet with legal assistants weekly. The position requires over 2 years PQE experience in UK Immigration Law and management experience. This role is remote, with a commitment to attend weekly clinic appointments on Wednesdays at 6pm.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with over 2 years PQE experience in UK Immigration Law.
• Management and legal advisory experience required.
• Ability to supervise and guide legal assistants.

Overview

ROMILDAMOR Foundation is a Human Rights NGO that works to support Survivors of Human Trafficking and Gender Based Violence with Legal and Holistic support to help them reintegrate safely back into society. Our mission is to show Love in Action by Transforming Exploited Survivors into Empowered Women.

We are seeking a retired Immigration Solicitor to provide guidance and supervision to the Legal Support department.

Role Description

The Legal Support department provides Survivors of Human Trafficking and GBV with assistance in sourcing external Legal Representatives.

Supervisory Lawyers will meet with Legal Assistants on a weekly basis and provide them with guidance and advice as they source representation and assist clients in preparing their Asylum and Immigration cases.

Role Duration

Start Date: As soon as possible

Duration: Initially 12 months, with the possibility of extension upon review.

About You

Qualified Solicitor with over 2 years PQE Experience working in UK Immigration Law; Management & Legal Advisory Experience.

The volunteers will be required to attend weekly clinic appointments on Wednesdays at 6pm – remotely.
