Overview
Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye-catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? At eXPD8, we’re looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in Tesco Werrington PE4. You’ll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands. Please note that although you will be based in one area, there are work opportunities across a variety of different stores.
You will be responsible for ensuring the fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked.

Role and schedule
This role will work across a variety of categories including cosmetics, toys, and books.
Confirmed working days/hours: 8 hours per week
Monday Wednesday Thursday (08:00 start)
Plus ad hoc work as interested and agreed.
Responsibilities
- Compliance and Standards: Follow merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures, and health and safety guidance.
- Planograms: Follow and implement planograms, where provided, to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
- Product Placement and Replenishment: Arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
- Promotional and Point of Sale Setup: Set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts, and offers.
- Strong communication and relationship building: Build and maintain good working relationships with in-store colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
- Feedback: Provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams, acting as the eyes and ears in the stores.
What makes you excellent
- Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to own your work within set timeframes and use initiative to find solutions.
- Take pride in delivering great standards and service for clients.
- Comfort with manual handling and moving/arranging products from warehouse to shopfloor.
- Willingness to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for visits (paid extra).
- Confidence using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer questions about tasks.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car is a bonus.
