Job description
Customer Service
  • Greeting customers: Welcoming people as they enter the store.
  • Assisting customers: Helping shoppers find products and answering questions about them.
  • Providing recommendations: Advising customers on products and making suitable recommendations.
  • Handling complaints: Addressing and resolving customer complaints and issues.
  • Processing transactions: Handling cash, card, and other payment methods at the register.
  • Managing returns: Processing refunds and exchanges for customers.
Store Maintenance and Operations
  • Restocking shelves: Keeping shelves full with new merchandise.
  • Rotating stock: Moving older stock to the front to ensure it is sold.
  • Receiving deliveries: Unpacking new stock and putting it in the correct storage area.
  • Maintaining cleanliness: Keeping the sales floor, shelves, and other areas clean and tidy.
  • Creating displays: Arranging merchandise and setting up promotional displays.
  • Conducting stock takes: Participating in inventory counts.
  • Price auditing: Checking that all products are priced correctly.
Other Duties
  • Answering the phone: Taking messages and handling phone inquiries.
  • Security: Monitoring the store to prevent shoplifting and ensure safety.
  • Opening/closing: Assisting with opening and closing procedures for the store.
