Retail Assistant – Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Bloxwich, West Midlands. This permanent part‑time position offers 20 hours across 5 days per week, with a minimum of 20 hours worked over 5 days each week, including weekends.

Hours

20 hours across 5 days per week.

Pay

£10.10 – £12.31 per hour, depending on age:

• Ages 16‑20: £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.31 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• Enjoy being busy, with flexibility to move between deliveries, till work, customer service, cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliability – you will be an important part of a small team that customers and colleagues depend on.
• A bit of flexibility with shifts; rota is planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside work are taken into consideration.
