Retail Assistant – Accrington

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Accrington, Lancashire. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 3 days each week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits

Pay: £10.10 per hour for ages 16‑20, and £12.31 per hour for ages 21 and over.

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Deliver fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into the freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep shops safe, clean and tidy.

• Enjoy being busy, jumping from putting out deliveries to serving on the till, helping recordar customers on the shop floor, completing cleaning and stock routines, and more.
• Be reliable as you will be an important part of a small team; your colleagues and customers will depend on you to do your best on each shift and not let the team down.
• Have a bit of flexibility regarding your shifts; when other members of the team are off you may need to work slightly different hours. Rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and your commitments outside of work will always be taken into consideration when planning your shifts.
