Overview

Come and join one of the Islands leading pub groups.

We are looking to recruit for an enthusiastic and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our friendly team at The Birdham Hotel in Bembridge.

As Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for the daily food and beverage operations, while assisting the General Manager with the running of the hotel, functions and events. Other duties will include –

  • Ensuring the highest levels of customer service at all times
  • Motivating and training the team
  • Creating rotas, managing staff hours and ensuring wage percentages are met
  • Opening/closing the restaurant, ensuring close down is done securely
  • Working alongside the head chef and working closely with the kitchen team
  • Overseeing the restaurants cleanliness to ensure it is of the highest standard
  • Organising the cleaning schedules and doing spot checks to make sure it is being followed closely
  • Cost-efficient stock control, ordering and hitting set GP targets
About you
  • You’ll be a manager that lives and breathes food and drink, knowing what’s hot and what’s not
  • You’ll be an absolute stickler for quality
  • You make people feel good - your team, guests and colleagues alike
  • Methodical and process-driven approach to tasks, but also able to work flexibly and calmly to meet deadlines
  • Ability to take ownership of important issues, solve problems and make effective decisions

Hours

Full-time job with evening and weekend shifts, including split shifts.
