Overview

We\'re seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead the operation of an on-site restaurant located in Basingstoke on a temporary basis. This role combines restaurant management whilst overseeing training and offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students through real-world experiences in a professional hospitality setting. An enhanced DBS is essential for this role.

Working hours: Wednesday 9-3, 4-9.30; Thursday 9-3, 4-9.30; Friday 9-3.

Responsibilities
  • Restaurant Operations: Lead the day-to-day running of the on-site training restaurant in partnership with the Restaurant Chef.
  • Student Engagement: Monitor student attendance, lead training in food and beverage service, and provide high-quality assessment and feedback.
  • Menu Development & Innovation: Use creativity to design seasonal menus that promote local Hampshire produce and uphold the values of Hampshire Fare.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise admin and associate lecturer staff and support budget management where required.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in lesson observations, internal verification, and staff development, contributing to ongoing quality improvement.
