Our new restaurant launched in June 2023 is the heart of the hotel eating and drinking experience. Buzzy and fast paced from morning to late, with friendly and informal service in a landmark address. Located on the ground floor, we offer a fine casual all day destination, with outdoor seating overlooking Hyde Park. We serve a breakfast buffet with live cooking stations and an all-day a la carte menu along with a signature afternoon tea. Our modern British approach, combined with traditional and international flavours creates a simple menu perfect for an everyday treat, casual lunch, business meeting or celebratory dinner.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Restaurant Floor Manager works closely with the Restaurant Management and supports with the commercial performance, management and reputation of the Restaurant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Commercial Performance: Support to achieve the restaurant’s targets, including driving the average check value, team incentives, and team member and guest experience. Understand business results—sales, costs, covers, guest satisfaction—and support actions to improve performance. Optimise covers using good diary management. Deliver high-quality food and drink to satisfy guest needs and social media feeds. Champion Hilton’s sustainability goals by teaching proper waste management and minimizing wastage and single-use items.
  • Exceptional Guest Experiences: Lead your shift to deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensuring the team provides authentic personalised service and in-depth product knowledge. Develop strong customer relationships, recognise repeat guests, preferences and celebrations to improve loyalty. Review and act on customer feedback, taking quick action to resolve complaints. Enhance the restaurant’s image through online reputation management, driving positive reviews on key platforms (TripAdvisor, Google Reviews). Treat food allergies and dietary requirements with absolute seriousness at all times.
  • Support to develop and inspire the restaurant team, creating an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive and achieve their professional goals. Practice great people management focusing on training and recognition. Plan daily shift duties efficiently based on forecasted business volumes to adhere to working hours and minimise overtime. Communicate well and often, building good relationships with your team and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure restaurant operations strictly comply with all regulations (including health, safety and hygiene, food safety certification, licensing) and that potentially hazardous situations are identified, reported and corrected. Ensure all opening and closing procedures, including financial reports and reconciliations, are carried out correctly. Maintain operational effectiveness, using efficient steps of service and layout to reduce cycle times. Manage restaurant inventory, stock control and purchasing following hotel guidelines.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for an inspirational leader who is passionate about food and beverage, with at least two years’ experience in a similar role. London experience within a hotel and high‑street restaurant environment would be an advantage.
