A leading health organization in Rhyl seeks a Clinical Research Fellow in Respiratory Medicine for a two-year position. Responsibilities include undertaking research to gain a postgraduate qualification, expanding the clinical trial portfolio, and contributing to medical education. Candidates must possess an MB ChB or equivalent and have strong communication and organizational skills. Roles & responsibilities
Research and Quality Improvement (3 days per week)
Clinical
1. Assume responsibility for clinical role in care of the respiratory medicine, at level commensurate with experience.
Education
1. Contribute to placement and clinical supervision of students.
2. Run the respiratory departmental education programme
3. Deliver lecture, classroom and simulation-based teaching to students in relation to chronic disease specialties and geriatric medicine and other aspects of undergraduate curricula.
4. Mentor of students and junior colleagues involved with medical education.
5. Help to identify teaching and training opportunities within the acute and community hospitals and channel these resources for the benefit of the students.
6. Undertake education development and quality improvement project activity with the support of the local and wider Medical Education team.
