  • Foster an ethos that respects and accounts for a young person\'s race, culture, disability, gender, and sexuality.
  • Creative engagement and encouragement of young people to participate in a variety of activities (play, leisure, learning, social development) to build confidence and develop skills.
  • Support young people in domestic and personal care tasks within the Home in a manner that promotes their well-being and development.

Key-Working and Administration

  • Act as a key-worker for designated young people, completing all required monthly key-work duties and any additional related tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records related to all aspects of the Home\'s organisation.

Education and Achievement

  • Liaise and cooperate with teaching staff to ensure each young person receives an education appropriate to their ability.
  • Support young people in school or alternative education programmes to ensure they fully utilise available educational opportunities.
  • Promote and assist young people in achieving relevant qualifications, such as NVQ/GCSE.

Communication and Compliance

  • Maintain effective communication systems, including thorough handovers and log books.
  • Actively participate in the implementation, promotion, and development of all relevant Company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to staff meetings, staff development sessions, child care reviews, and other meetings as necessary.
  • Take part in implementing action plans to meet the company\'s positive action targets and ensure anti-discriminatory practices are consistently adhered to and developed.
We\'re Looking For:
  • Proven experience working directly with young people facing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal (at meetings) and written (reports and accurate record-keeping).
  • Strong organisational abilities and a methodical approach to following established procedures.
  • Demonstrated capacity for effective team collaboration.
  • Ability to work constructively with children, families, other professionals, and external agencies.
  • A responsive and proactive approach to meeting the needs of young people.
  • The resilience to maintain performance and effectiveness when working under pressure.
  • A commitment to working towards agreed objectives.
  • Willingness and physical capacity to participate fully in restraint techniques.
What is being Offered:
  • Competitive Compensation: Salary range of £13.00-£14.50 per hour and a sleep-in rate of £60.
  • A Therapeutic, Values-Driven Environment: This is an impactful opportunity to lead and shape a therapeutic home founded on a strong vision and core values.
  • Commitment to Staff Well-being and Professional Growth: Benefit from a supportive workplace culture that prioritise staff well-being alongside the children's healing journey.
