Title: Residential Property Fee Earner (Conveyancer)
Hours of Work: Full time
Location: Congleton or Stockport

Purpose of the Role

This role involves managing the full conveyancing process from instruction through to completion, working independently and efficiently to deliver a high standard of client service. The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting the growth and development of the department in line with the firm s wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive)
  • Handle residential conveyancing matters from start to finish with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Generate fee income and maintain control of time recording, work in progress, billing, and cash collection in line with agreed targets.
  • Take an active role in business development and client relationship management to promote the firm s services.
  • Provide supervision and support to colleagues when required, including during periods of absence or annual leave.
  • Attend and contribute to departmental and firm-wide meetings.
  • Deliver an exceptional level of client care, maintaining a professional and approachable manner at all times.
  • Manage all correspondence and documentation through the case management system.
  • Ensure proper file management in both paper and electronic formats, including file opening, maintenance, and closure in line with internal procedures.
  • Assist in marketing and networking activities to enhance the firm s profile and generate new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and develop strong IT and administrative skills relevant to modern conveyancing practice, including use of case management systems, email, and research tools.
