Express Recruitment is working with a highly reputable organisation who are seeking an experienced professional to manage night‑time operations and quality of service for a busy residential care home of 60 beds. The candidate will oversee a team of 12 staff, ensuring high standards of care and support while driving standards forward.

Salary: c£35,000 per annum, DOE. Location: Redditch. Working hours: 12‑hour shifts (4‑5 per week, 40 hours per week).

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the night shift team, ensuring high standards of care and support.
  • Maintain the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of residents throughout the night.
  • Oversee night‑time operations, ensuring compliance with care plans and procedures.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and support to night staff, promoting best practice.
  • Complete necessary reports, handovers and communication to daytime management teams.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous Team Leader or Deputy Manager experience essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the healthcare sector and NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar.
  • Knowledge of key issues affecting the healthcare sector in the current climate.
  • Detailed understanding of commissioning new policies.
  • Able to effectively lead and motivate a team successfully.
