Qualifications

Salary:

£30,772 - £37,021 (Incl. sleepover allowance)

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you possess resilience, compassion, and a desire to support children in a nurturing environment? We are seeking experienced Residential Childcare Workers to join our dedicated team across multiple homes in Scotland. In this role, you will be a consistent, trusted adult providing emotional and practical support, fostering positive routines, and helping children achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide safety, structure, and care for vulnerable children.
  2. Support children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or disability.
  3. Build resilience and confidence through guidance and positive relationships.
  4. Work as a keyworker to meet individual needs and follow personal development plans.
  5. Collaborate with families and professionals for holistic care planning.
Shift Details:

Full-Time: 3 x 24-hour shifts (including 8-hour sleepover) followed by 3 days off on a rolling 9-week rota.

Part-Time: 12-hour or 6-hour shifts.

Enhanced pay on Christmas and New Year's Day.

Candidate Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare.
  2. SVQ3 Children & Young People + HNC (or working towards them).
  3. Registered (or eligible to register) with the SSSC.
  4. Valid UK driving licence (essential).
  5. Confident, compassionate, and able to work unsocial hours.
