Job summary

A regional healthcare provider is looking for a Clinical Fellow (ST3+ level) in Digital Medicine to oversee virtual hospital pathways and remote patient monitoring. This full-time, fixed-term 12-month position allows for remote work, engaging significantly with stakeholders and enhancing care delivery. Job description
Overview

Clinical Fellow (ST3+ level) post in Digital Medicine, remote monitoring and Virtual Hospital Medicine. Full‑time, fixed‑term 12‑month role, remote work possible.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and maintain virtual hospital pathways for acute care wards.
  • Communicate complex, sensitive, or contentious information (written and verbal) with senior colleagues, executives, and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in case finding, attending emergency department daily huddles, daily board rounds, review patients remotely, and bring patients up to the hospital for in‑person reviews.
  • Enhance the link between patients on outlier wards with the virtual hospital team and specialist services, reviewing in‑patients for potential onboarding.
  • Link with industry partners to review current technology and remote patient monitoring solutions, and anticipate future developments.
  • Engage in significant research opportunities for IT/data‑literate trainees, including monitoring streams for key physiological parameters from >1000 discharged patients.
  • Encourage pursuit of affiliated postgraduate qualifications and engagement with the Faculty of Clinical Informatics.
  • Support consultants in providing weekend cover for the virtual hospital (x1 weekend/month).
