Job summary

A healthcare organization in Ilford is seeking a qualified phlebotomist to work on research activities and clinical tasks, including patient enrollment and sample handling. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Work with services to establish, develop and maintain relationships to facilitate research activities and clinical tasks such as venepuncture and biological sample handling.
  • Identify and enroll patients, their carers and staff into research projects.
  • Conduct advertising, screening, consent and data collection with participants as required.
  • Collect and transport blood samples in a community environment.
  • Participate in practical phlebotomy assessment during the interview process.
Qualificationsh3>
  • Phlebotomy qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with people with mental health problems, physical health problems and/or other disabilities.
  • Understanding of research methods used in NHS.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Creative problem solver, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a motor vehicle.
Other Information

Salary will include a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum £4,313 to maximum £5,436 p.a. pro rata for part time) for Outer London, and % for Fringe (minimum £1,192 to maximum £2,011 p.a. pro rata for part time).
