Job description
Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic undergraduate student to join the Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care group at NDORMS, the University of Oxford. This role is suitable for a student on a sandwich course, preferably in a science-related subject and/or an interest in clinical research or project management.

The placement will support clinical research undertaken by Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care group by providing administrative support for the team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Trial Managers in reviewing trial processes and documents and ensure they comply with the departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist in archiving trial data according to procedures and work to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Hold GCSEs in Maths & English, grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrate practical use of IT systems, in particular MS Word, MS Excel, email and internet.
  • Be self‑motivated with good organisational and time‑management skills and have a flexible and pro‑active approach.
  • Experience of quality control checking and of working in an academic environment is desirable.
