Qualifications

• Substantial experience at Band 5 Acute Medicine or Care of the Elderly.
• Previous experience at Band 5.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the service for the future.
• Continue the running of the ward in the absence of the ward manager.
• Provide support with staff appraisals, sickness and training.

Skills

Good communication and organisational skills

Sound knowledge of relevant clinical practice

Good knowledge of Clinical Governance issues

Evidence of innovative practice
