Overview

We're looking for enthusiastic and experienced van/ 3.5T Drivers to join our clients busy and growing international removals team in Exeter.

Having a full UK driving licence and physical strength is vital for this role.

Responsibilities

• As Removals 3.5T Driver, you will be responsible for driving, moving and handling customers household/ personal possessions.
• Initially shadowing current Drivers to secure knowledge of the role, routes and build confidence.
• Interacting and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues in the movement of goods across UK and Europe.
• Providing assistance in the moving and handling of customer goods, including driving to and from location (long and short distances) across the UK and Europe.
• Packing and wrapping customer goods before manually and physically lifting (aided and unaided) onto vehicles or into location.
• Completing the necessary on the job paperwork to a high standard.
• Undertaking daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g. oil and water checks) and report any defects.
• Follow H&S Guidelines and carrying out Banks-person duties.
• Undertake the regular training required.

Qualifications / Requirements

We're keen to speak to reliable drivers who hold the necessary HGV 2 / Category C licence as well as the customer care, packing/unpacking, loading/unloading and problem solving skills this position demands. Previous warehouse / forklift experience would also be an advantage.

Offer

In return, the successful Removals 3.5T Driver will be offered up to £34,000 in line with skills and experience.
