About the Role: Marketleading, nationally renowned law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Defendant Costs Negotiator to join its team. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and autonomy while working on a varied caseload of defendant costs matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of defendant costs files from instruction to settlement
• Draft Points of Dispute and negotiate costs settlements
• Liaise with solicitors, insurers and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Previous experience in defendant costs negotiation
• Strong knowledge of legal costs procedures and CPR
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience with costs drafting software (eg, CostsMaster or Proclaim) is desirable
