Job Summary

We are looking for a full‑time Remote ANP as a new salaried team member to work across our Healthcare Group of 17 GP practices.

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) focusing on econsultations is integral to enhancing access to healthcare through digital means. This role involves managing electronic consultations (e‑consultations), providing high‑level clinical assessments, advice, and treatment recommendations primarily through online platforms and telephone appointments. The ANP will work under the guidance of and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective patient care remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments via e‑consultations and telephone calls, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications or other treatments, and refer patients to other services when necessary.
  • Play a critical role in development and implementation of e‑consultation protocols and guidelines, ensuring alignment with national standards and best practices.
  • Engage with patient requests using our e‑consultation service and provide clinical assessment and diagnosis based on information provided by the patient.
  • Participate in clinical meetings alongside other remote clinical staff to provide guidance and develop e‑consultation management protocols.
  • Complete self‑generated and practice‑generated administrative tasks to ensure efficient continuity of care.
  • Provide follow‑up telephone calls to patients when required after the information submitted within the e‑consultation.

E‑Consultation Management: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnose health conditions, prescribe treatments, and coordinate referrals. Develop and implement protocols, ensure quality standards, provide training and support, and maintain records while safeguarding data privacy.

Patient Communication & Education: Guide patients on using e‑consultation services, deliver targeted health education, arrange follow‑up care, and track outcomes to improve service effectiveness.

Collaboration & Professional Development: Work with multidisciplinary teams, stay current with digital health developments, contribute to professional forums and scholarly activities, and support continuous learning.

Qualifications – Essential
  • Masters degree in Advanced Practice; additional qualifications in digital health or telemedicine are highly advantageous. Digital Badge desirable.
  • Extensive clinical experience as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, including significant roles in managing patient care via digital platforms.
  • Proficient in prescribing and managing medications with a clear understanding of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics relevant to a range of conditions.
  • Skilled in using digital health tools for e‑consultations, including patient management systems, telemedicine technologies, and electronic health records.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both oral and written, necessary for effective patient consultations and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications – Desirable
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, innovative thinking, and adaptability to new technologies and changing healthcare environments.
  • Independent caseload management and autonomy in clinical decision‑making with minimal supervision.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, including data protection laws relevant to e‑consultations.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills, mentoring less experienced staff and showing initiative in high‑pressure situations.
