• Must hold a valid Door Supervision or Security Guarding License.
• Checkable employment history or proof of previous unemployment and education.
• Must possess a valid driving license and vehicle access.
• Experience in a retail security setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
• Detain offenders following health and safety training.
• Utilize CCTV and store security systems effectively.
• Collaborate with covert security staff.
• Investigate theft and assist inquiries on known offenders.
• Complete incident reports and necessary documentation.
• Report incidents using a company-provided device.
• Conduct routine patrols for customer safety.
• Record daily patrols in activity sheets.
• Provide security updates during briefings.
• Conduct shift handovers for service continuity.
• Maintain a secure environment for all.

About the Role

Mitie has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Security Officers in Lidl Stores in the Portsmouth area. Enjoy discounted benefits and gain high-quality experience within the security industry. Full training and a quality induction will be provided. You must be able to Drive and have access to your own vehicle to get to these sites.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

Qualifications

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle
• Previous experience in a retailsecurity role
