We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Relief Chef to join our culinary team in the south east United Kingdom. As a Relief Chef you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations across various locations ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present food to the highest standards adhering to our organisation's recipes and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with existing kitchen teams to support daily operations and maintain smooth service.
  • Assist in managing inventories, monitoring budgets and implementing action plans as needed.
  • Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments, menus and cooking styles.
  • Support and supervise kitchen staff when required fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining food quality and presentation standards.
  • Respond flexibly to changing work locations and schedules as per organisational needs.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience.
  • Ideally a recent background with the corporate contract catering sector.
  • Excellent creative culinary skills.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Proficiency in food cost management.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast‑paced environment.
