Job Title: Reinstatement Quality Auditor

Location: Tipton / Bannerley

The Role

As a Reinstatement Quality Auditor, you will ensure that reinstatement works across all projects comply with contractual agreements, industry standards, safety regulations, and local authority requirements. The role involves auditing completed reinstatements, identifying defects or non-compliance issues, and recommending corrective actions. The role will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensures that best practices, regulations, and requirements are adhered to.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and audit reinstatement works on roads, footways, and infrastructure to verify compliance with project specifications
  • Review reinstatement plans, method statements, and as-build records
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. New Roads and Streetworks Act, HAUC specifications, and regulatory authorities)
  • Document findings with photographic evidence and detailed reports
  • Identify and escalate defects or poor workmanship to contractors and project managers
  • Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, and local authorities regarding reinstatement compliance
  • Verify that appropriate materials and techniques are used for reinstatement
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to during reinstatement works
  • Prepare and submit reports summarising common issues and trends
  • Attend site meetings with project managers, contractors, and quality teams to discuss findings and areas for improvement
  • Track corrective actions and verify that rectifications are completed within the required timeframe
  • Review and assess subcontractor performance in reinstatement works
  • Monitor compliance with permit conditions and roadwork reinstatement deadlines
