The HPC division operates across international markets and partners closely with retailers, distributors, and suppliers around the globe. With a focus on continuous innovation, responsible manufacturing, and empowering teams to make an impact, Spectrum Brands is a place where your work truly reaches consumers’ hands and homes.

The Role

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical global role in ensuring that HPC products meet international, federal, and local regulatory requirements. Supporting markets across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product development, quality, and supply chain teams to manage compliance across the full product lifecycle. This is a highly impactful position, central to product safety, regulatory alignment, sustainability goals, and customer trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Regulatory Compliance : Monitor and interpret global regulatory requirements including FCC, Energy Star, Prop 65, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, ERP, PFAS restrictions, labelling, SDS, and packaging compliance. Summarize regulatory impacts, provide guidance to internal teams, and embed compliance requirements into product design in partnership with Engineering and R&D.

  • Regulatory Reporting : Prepare, submit, and manage compliance documentation across regions. Collaborate closely with sourcing, packaging, and operations teams to conduct investigations, data analysis, and corrective actions. Engage third-party consultants as needed for validation and legal reviews.
  • Social Responsibility Programs : Lead the division’s Social Responsibility program by understanding customer expectations (e.g., BSCI, CTPAT) and coordinating supplier audits and compliance activities.
  • Customer Requests : Respond to compliance-related inquiries and surveys from customers and internal teams, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Product Sustainability : Drive HPC’s product sustainability strategy, including short-, medium-, and long-term goals. Work closely with NPD, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to embed sustainability within the product roadmap.
  • Data Management Systems : Develop and manage environmental, safety, social, and governance information systems and related databases.
  • Compliance Processes : Research, prepare, and enhance processes to support regulatory changes and customer-driven compliance initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the business.
