Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a vibrant and growing team in a recently refurbished and expanded small animal practice based London.

About the Practice

Following a significant renovation and expansion, the practice now boasts state‑of‑the‑art facilities including six consult rooms, two operating theatres, a dental suite with dental X‑ray, a dedicated imaging room with digital X‑ray, ultrasound and rigid endoscope, as well as a purpose‑built pharmacy. New additions also include separate wards and waiting areas for dogs, cats and exotics, plus an isolation ward reflecting the practice’s commitment to high clinical standards and patient comfort.

The team is composed of six experienced vets, five RVNs, three veterinary care assistants, a dedicated reception team and a supportive management structure.

With a focus on progressive care, the practice supports a wide caseload that includes exotics. One vet is currently pursuing a certificate in exotic animal medicine and two RVNs are also undertaking further qualifications in the field.

About the Role

This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week position, with just one in four weekends and no out‑of‑hours, supporting a healthy work‑life balance.

This role offers a varied range of first‑opinion responsibilities including:

  • Anaesthesia monitoring
  • Inpatient care
  • Nurse consultations
  • Radiography and ultrasonography
  • Ordering and inventory
  • Assisting in a wide range of clinical procedures
  • Opportunities for Schedule 3 work
About You

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, positive and proactive RVN who takes pride in his/her work and is eager to contribute to the smooth running of the practice. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is a passion for high‑standard patient and client care. An interest in learning more about practice operations and supporting the business side of veterinary work is welcomed.
