Job description
Overview

Blue House Vets is seeking a qualified and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our award-winning, forward-thinking practice in Biddulph, Staffordshire.

Responsibilities
  • As an RVN, you will be encouraged to fully utilise your nursing skills and be involved in a wide range of clinical duties including anaesthesia monitoring, patient care, laboratory work, imaging, nurse clinics, and consulting. You will not be required to cover reception duties or administrative tasks such as insurance claims; your time and expertise will be focused entirely on nursing.
  • We offer a dedicated nurse consulting room, and our diary is structured to allow for realistic caseloads and same-day emergencies, reducing stress and supporting smooth workflows.
Working hours

This role offers complete flexibility, with working patterns available between 28 to 40 hours per week over 3, 4, or 5 days. All patterns must include some later finishes (6:00pm or 7:00pm) and one in three Saturday mornings. There are no out-of-hours or night shift requirements, with emergency care covered by Vets Now.

Skills and qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified and registered veterinary nurse with confidence in all areas of general nursing.
  • You will be a clear and effective communicator, capable of working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
  • A compassionate and professional approach to patient care is essential, as is a genuine interest in contributing to case discussions and the ongoing development of the practice.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development is strongly encouraged and supported. Applications from newly qualified nurses are warmly welcomed, with full support provided to help you grow into the role.
