Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse, qualified and registered with the RCVS.
• Veterinary Nursing Degree or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience as a veterinary nurse, including nurse consulting and general anaesthetic (GA) monitoring.
• Well‑honed surgical etiquette and quarantining procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience with practice management systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinical excellence by understanding and implementing all clinical practice protocols.
• Participate in the nurse consult rota and conduct screening procedures.
• Monitor anaesthetics and record comprehensive clinical notes.
• Administer treatments and maintain the cleanliness of clinical workspaces.
• Assist veterinarians during procedures and tend to unsettled animals.
• Monitor stock levels and educate pet owners on caring procedures.
