Exciting things are happening at Colne Vets for Pets! As we grow and evolve, we’re thrilled to offer an exciting role for a Registered Veterinary Nurse ready to thrive, develop, and grow with us.

  • This role is a Full-Time position 37.5h with only 1 in 4 Saturdays, giving you a fantastic work/life balance.
  • Primarily an inpatient and surgical care role. Could also suit a confident newer graduated nurse as we have fantastic support from our very experienced nurse team.
  • Fantastic salary 29-34k depending on experience.
About Us

Colne Vets for Pets is located in the Pets at Home store, with 4 consult rooms, a dental and imaging suite, a separate induction area, prep room and lab room, a large colleague space, and a quiet waiting area. Having PSS accreditation, achieving Cat friendly, Rabbit friendly and Dogs Trust Dog friendly status, we will be continuing to work towards becoming a Fear Free practice. We are on the edge of town, with the M65 and train station only ¼ of a mile from the practice. You will be joining an existing clinical team of 4 vets, 5 RVNs and 4 FTE VCAs.

About the Role

We are looking for a colleague to take on a pivotal role in our surgical work, organising pre-operative booking, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients, along with follow up post-operative calls. Assistance from VCAs is given with turning around theatre, and patient preparation. There will be other general nursing duties and we have daily established nurse clinics, including some shared vet/nurse clinics for routine care.

To apply you will have good general nursing and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare, and a reassuring manner for our clients.
