A veterinary practice in Colne is seeking a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to support surgical and inpatient care. The role offers a competitive salary of £28,000 to £34,000, balanced work hours, and inclusive team culture. The successful candidate will be involved in pre-operative and post-operative care, alongside general nursing duties. This position is perfect for those looking to thrive in a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and development.
Exciting things are happening at Colne Vets for Pets! As we grow and evolve, we’re thrilled to offer an exciting role for a Registered Veterinary Nurse ready to thrive, develop, and grow with us.
Colne Vets for Pets is located in the Pets at Home store, with 4 consult rooms, a dental and imaging suite, a separate induction area, prep room and lab room, a large colleague space, and a quiet waiting area. Having PSS accreditation, achieving Cat friendly, Rabbit friendly and Dogs Trust Dog friendly status, we will be continuing to work towards becoming a Fear Free practice. We are on the edge of town, with the M65 and train station only ¼ of a mile from the practice. If you’re ready for your next move and this role sounds like a great fit for your career aspirations, then we’d love to hear from you! You will be joining an existing clinical team of 4 vets, 5 RVNs and 4 FTE VCAs.
We are looking for a colleague to take on a pivotal role in our surgical work, organising pre-operative booking, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients, along with follow up post-operative calls. Assistance from VCAs is given with turning around theatre, and patient preparation. There will be other general nursing duties and we have daily established nurse clinics, including some shared vet/nurse clinics for routine care.
To apply you will have good general nursing and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare, and a reassuring manner for our clients.
We want our colleagues to be as diverse as our clients. Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference so if you meet our role requirements, we’d love to hear from you.
