Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Care for critically ill patients requiring multi‑organ support; assess, plan and deliver high‑standard individualised nursing care.
  • Care for X1 level 3 or X2 level 2 patients requiring ICU or HDU care.
  • Liaise with the MDT, senior nurses on the ICU, and collaborate with admission and discharge areas to provide excellent nursing care and contribute to a positive patient journey and experience.
  • Provide support to other areas in the Trust when activity is less on the unit and greater need elsewhere is an expectation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of demonstrable post‑NMC registration qualification experience, ideally within a current acute hospital setting.
  • Previous critical care experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work internal rotation from day to night duty is essential.
  • Band 5.
