We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. As a Registered Nurse or ODP in our Maternity Theatres team you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of care for women undergoing clinical or peri-operative procedures. You will be responsible for:

• Scrubbing for elective and emergency maternity theatre cases.
• Providing compassionate, post-operative care to women.
• Collaborating with the Department Manager, Matron, and a multi-disciplinary team to maintain the highest standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Assist and care for women undergoing elective and emergency caesarean sections, plus contributing to treating women during clinical emergencies.
• Receive, transfer and position women for clinical procedures.
• Support, monitor and care for women and their babies during clinical procedures and in the postoperative period.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and comfort of women.
• Store, prepare and administer prescribed drugs to women in accordance with Trust Policy and monitor the effects of drugs on women.
