Overview

To provide a comprehensive physical health service as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to patients with physical health needs within Health & Justice. In conjunction with the management team contribute to and deliver a comprehensive Primary Health Service in partnership with mental health and key stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary team within the prison setting.

This role involves undertaking health assessments, administering medication and treatments, performing diagnostic tests, as appropriate, and providing and evaluating a range of health interventions to meet prisoner health and social care needs.


Responsibilities
  • Undertake health assessments, administer medications and treatments, perform diagnostic tests as appropriate, and provide and evaluate a range of health interventions.
  • Assess individuals that come in and out of the Short Term Holding Facility and contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive Primary Health Service within the integrated service.
  • Work flexibly across the service to provide responsive, evidence-based interventions.
  • Operate in line with the organisation’s values: Working Together, Integrity, Respect and Recognition, Compassion and Innovation.
