The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to work within Motherwell Locality Community Nursing Service

The community nursing teams are committed to delivering high quality nursing care to the local community.

The successful candidate must demonstrate high quality communication and interpersonal skills. They will be accountable for delivering safe and effective person-centred care.

It is essential that the successful candidate is a car owner/driver or has access to a car.

What we’ll need you to bring
  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology

It would be great if you also have
  • Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Knowledge and understanding of core community nurse
  • Previous community experience
  • Catheter care experience
  • HIC and PICC management experience
  • Experience of working with patients in their own homes
  • Further education/evidence of continuous professional development in areas applicable to community nursing, e.g. compression bandaging, syringe drivers, wound management
  • Ability to provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based within the Community (District Nursing) within Motherwell Health Centre.

The working pattern for this role Various shifts to cover service 0800-2200, Monday to Sunday.
